Innovative grassland care through spot spraying – precise dock control with the RumboJet880

The founders Andreas Breher and Simon Cordella both completed training as mechatronics engineers and a degree in mechatronics at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. Both come from farming families and combine technical know-how with practical knowledge from agriculture.

The idea was born in 2019 as part of a university project in which an algorithm for detecting dock plants was developed. The founders recognized the potential for a sustainable solution in grassland management and built the first prototype.

Both founders grew up on farms and gained practical experience in machine maintenance, harvesting and business planning. This connection to practice shapes the development of the RumboJet.

Andreas Breher is responsible for mechanical development, order coordination and sales, while Simon Cordella heads the electronics, software development, marketing and accounting departments. Together they cover all relevant aspects.
